SUMMARY:Fall Prevention in Construction Safety Training - June 11
DESCRIPTION:AGC of America\, supported by a Susan Harwood Federal Grant\, is pleased to offer:\n\nFall Prevention in Construction Safety Training\n\n\n\nConstruction workers make up approximately five percent of the country's workforce but account for an average of 19% of all job-related fatalities each year. In addition\, falls account for the greatest number of fatalities in the construction industry\, especially among small businesses. Over the past 10 years\, at least\, an average of 346 workers were killed from falls\, and nonfatal injuries and illnesses that resulted from falls\, occurred at a rate of 31.4 per 10\,000 full-time workers in 2020. AGC of America is pleased to offer this NO COST one-day training program based on OSHA standards and best practices to answer the need for quality training within the industry.\n\n\n\nAnother indicator of the need for training is the amount of citations OSHA issues for fall protection violations in the construction industry. Fall protection violations continue to be among the most cited standards in the construction industry\, consistently topping the list of OSHA's most frequently cited violations. Due to the number of violations\, the seriousness of injuries caused by lack of/or improper fall protection\, and the number of fatalities caused by falls\, it is imperative that additional emphasis be placed on fall protection training in the construction industry.\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend?\n\n Company Officers\n\n Estimators\n\n Managers\n\n Project Managers\n\n Supervisors\n\n Foremen\n\n Both Union and Non-Union Contractors\n\n\n\nWhat Will I Learn?\n\n Fall Protection Statistics\n\n OSHA Standards for Fall Protection\n\n How to Identify Fall Hazard Locations\n\n Selection and Criteria of Fall Protections Systems and Equipment\n\n Fall Protection Training Requirements
