DESCRIPTION:This 24 hour class teaches the basic skills needed to read and interpret a set of blueprints.  Students will come away with a solid understanding of commercial blueprint reading\, and will prepared to develop proficiency in blueprint reading with continued practice.\n\n\n\nTextbook and plans are provided and the instructor will cover: \n\n\n\nBlueprint drawings and specifications\n\nSymbols and conventions\n\nCSI divisions\n\nUse of Architect's Scale and Engineer's Scale\n\nCivil\, Sitework\, Utilities\n\nStructural Steel\n\nReinforced concrete\n\nBuilding finishes construction\n\nHVAC\, plumbing\, and electrical systems\n\nContract documents\n\n \n\nRegistration includes textbook and printed materials.\n\n\n\nStudents are responsible for purchase of an Architect's scale and an Engineer's scale.  Resources to purchase these items can be found on registration receipt.\n\n\n\nA laptop with audio and video capacity are required to take this course.
