Class Description:
In a broad sense, this class will discuss how communication (or lack thereof) promotes the success of a project. More specifically, how does communication affect the outcome of a project? How are new products, techniques and operating procedures addressed?
This class will provide examples of failures that we investigate that result from a common underlying theme of poor communication. Our goal is to educate the audience on the importance of communication and the problems that can be avoided by proper communication. * Includes new scenarios and examples
Attendees will learn:
Many failures can be eliminated by good communication
Top-down communication (providing good instructions, training, etc.)
Bottom-up communication (asking questions, reading instructions, etc.)
Everyone plays a role in the success of a project
Good communication may take additional time and effort, but it is critical and saves time in the long term
